Many of you may know me from my Shecological shop. After making and selling bags for several years, I took a break to move to Australia and do a two year textile design course. During that time I also played around with my long time interest in undergarments. I know that might sound funny, but, as with my bags, I was driven by a quest for three things: style, function, and sustainability. I want to make and sell things that have all these qualities, and I believe I have.
With Sheila Forever you will find items that make you feel good inside and out. The styles are sexy and affirming, natural and luxurious.
My current range is called "Roots" and draws on both our connection to the natural world, and the history of classic designs.
In Australia, a "Sheila" is a slang word for a girl, and many people asked me if it was a bother for me being named Sheila. But I have taken the opposite stance and claim it with pride. The name of my company is an anthem honoring women, the future of our planet, and the idea of making things that will last.
